Welcome to the online home of the Protimient font foundry and the modestly titled, design empire. Based in the appropriately named town of Reading, UK, the Protimient font foundry specialises in original type designs, and has been providing designers the world over with unique and innovative fonts since September 2004. The foundry is independently run by Ben Jones, owner, proprietor, designer and all round great guy who, admittedly, has trouble writing these self-promotional texts without stroking his ego every now and again (and, frankly, finds it quite odd to be writing in the third person).
15 February 2008 - Clarence has just been released and is now available to buy from MyFonts.
16 December 2007 - Another update to Bitty, my completely free pixel font. This time I have added a whole new variant, Bitty Bold.
04 October 2007 - Bitty, my completely free pixel font, has just been updated to include more accented characters, fractions and super/subscript numerals, making it one of the most awesome free pixel fonts ever. Fact.
02 July 2007 - A fairly large, behind-the-scenes website overhaul with a large amount of completely rewritten CSS (so now looks a bit better on widescreen monitors) and some databasization. On the font front, there is some slow progress as well as some quite lengthy and mildly irritating delays, for which reason Caligne will not be available for some time.
22 March 2007 - Things are, once again, a bit quiet, due to a fairly massive project taking up most of my time. However, things are beginning to slowly rumble into action again and there are several new fonts on the way (see below).
Nosta Sans. Developed as a companion to Nosta, this typeface has been designed to complement its serifed partner and will match all its features such as character set and font styles.
Expected release date: Quite a while.
The new, improved and much betterised version of Caligne is, after a long absence, nearing completion.

Clarence is a modern, original typeface that has, perhaps paradoxically, been designed to have a warm and slightly antiquated feel.
